It’s hard talking to people we don’t agree with.

We want to change that.

We’ve become so politically divided, it feels impossible to talk to anyone we disagree with - especially those closest to us. To the point where we're willing to abandon the relationships we truly care about because it’s just. Too. Hard.

Are you exhausted by this?

Us too. And that’s why we’re creating a documentary series showing the power of healthy communication. It's a technique. A skill we can learn. And with the guidance of a renowned mediator, we'll show what healing a fractured relationship looks like.

Are you struggling right now with this topic in your life? Think you (and the person you’re having a hard time speaking to) could use our help? We’re currently seeking stories in the Greater Bay Area to highlight in our series.

“To be most useful and alive,

our opinions must be in

curious conversation

with each other.”

- MONICA GUZMAN

Though it may not feel like it, we’re actually not as divided as the news and your Aunt Carol might have you believe. We simply don’t have the tools to express ourselves in uncomfortable (re: stressful) situations.

Imagine having a world class mediator in the room with you and the person you wish you knew how to talk with. That's the series. True healing isn't easy, but with the right tools and intention [re]connection is more than possible. It’s inevitable.

Watching this in action can teach viewers to accept flaws, stay composed when things are hard, and build stronger relationships that allow for differing perspectives.

In partnership with

Braver Angels is leading the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide. Through community gatherings, real debates, and grassroots leaders working together, they're creating hope — and showing Americans a braver way. We’re excited to bring their expertise to our project in hopes of creating real, meaningful change for those on screen and our viewers.

In an effort to explore this topic, and with no agenda, we brought our camera to Dolores Park in San Francisco to learn how strangers feel about communication with people they disagree with, plus the current state of discourse in the United States. We plan to do more of these soon.
